So Monday was a public holiday for Memorial Day. Heidi had the day off (since it was Monday, and school was out), so we decided to head out on the road. We also had another Free Day with National and decided that it was worth it to use that free day again to grab a car. I know in the past we have said why we do this (a few reasons, 1 its fun, 2 it doesn’t add milage to either of our cars, 3 it is free!) but this time was a little different.
Rather than grab a car for just the two of us, we ended up taking a couple of friends with us, so we were targeting a larger car this time, something way more comfortable for 4 people (the one time we don’t need a car for the two of us, the Executive Line has a Mustang on it). Something like this:
I have to say that I am not that big a fan of this car. It was fully loaded with all the good things (including a working Sirius XM) but yet I still wasn’t happy. There was power everywhere inside the SUV but again, still not happy. The one thing that killed it for me was the same issue I had with the F150 I rented in Anchorage last year, The indicators. They self center as soon as you begin indicating and you have to cancel them out by indicating the opposite direction, which sometimes doesn’t actually stop it. *sigh*
But other than my not so happiness with the vechile, it was a good day out. Spent some time out a couple of new places for me. Slowly but surely I am getting to experience the Olympic National Park. It was a good time, even though the weather wasn’t the best. I had fun (and so did my friends, thanks guys!) and ended up with some lovely photos like this:
