Wow… I can’t believe the year is over. It has been a big year for me. Lots of things changed this year.. and i mean lots. Lets break it down a little.

Work. 3 teams this year, saw my position disolved, moved to another team. Saw that team disolved so moved to another team. Demoted myself, got myself promoted, learning new things, new systems, new phones, new people, almost a whole new way of thinking.

Life. All the ups and downs this year, lots of sideways thoughts, indecisiveness, lost friends, gain friends, thankfully no funerals i had to attend but did lose some people. But then we had a wedding and saw lots of engagements as well. A big year in that respect. Life altering plans happened thinking more about my future than the hear and now i am used to. Wanted things i couldn’t have, got my heart broken (several times as usual), and trying to stay on the positive.

Travel: No big travels this year just lots of little stuff. Work sent me away 3 times to Melbourne, TNQ and New Zealand. Saw snow for the first time, first time to NZ, first time driving on famil was in TNQ. Saw some new things, returned to some old haunts. Travelled alone a few times but then travelled with friends as well. Spent 5 days in TNQ back in February with friends and for the first time i was able to switch off and just relax without all the running around that usually entails my holidays while i try and keep up with a pace i usually set. Tried some new things, found some new tastes, found new places i love, and also places i dont really like all that much.

Last year was eventful, so many changes but mainly for the good. Here is to a new year, full of as many adventures as the last. To all my friends who stuck with me in the last year, you mean a lot to me. 😀

Well it is that time of the year again, and as the year rolls over soon to begin a new year it is time to reflect upon family and friends and the year that has been. More on that next week maybe. But christmas is always a fun time of year. Lots of food and drink, family and friends, coming together.

I went a bit overboard with the parents gifts this year, spent $1200 on a tv for them. I don’t regret it, i owe them pretty big but meh. I didn’t get much in the way of present but i dont mind really. Anyway I am off to work on boxing day. Manning the customer care line today. So merry christmas to all!!

well for those outside of brisbane who read this blog, yes I am alive. No the storms didnt kill me or destory my house. It was a very wierd time only a week ago. It was around about this time last week when the “storm from hell” brought with it some destructive power and you end up with what has been reffered to as the “gapocalypse”. Our power got knocked out in the storm, we had a tree migrate into our back yard (without even a passport i mean jeez) and a lot of water flooding through our fernery. I had to pull all the grates off the drains as they just couldnt keep up with the flood of water.

We didn’t do to badly in hindsight. We only lost power for like 14 or so hours, which in the scheme of things that happened is fine. However other places didn’t have it for 3 or 4 days. Then for the whole week all we have heard is storm this storm that, omg a storm is coming what shall we all do.

its getting to be a bit much. All monday night it was storm damage on the news, same with tuesday. you would think nothing else happened in the world. Then when you expect it to be all over, last night, same thing, more storm damage!

what more can i say. I have just added more talk to this whole storm stuff….. i am over it!

Well I do apoligise for not doing everything I had said I would while I was away. Didnt really get much of a chance to use the net at all during the trip but thats not to big of an issue. NZ was amazing! The scenery so beautiful, the experiences just awesome. Although the little differences and the accents were funny it was such a good trip.

I had the best time, the group was good and everything went pretty well. So I can’t complain. The best place on the entire trip. Bayview Chateau Tongariro. It was amazing!!!!!! I got to see real snow for the first time in my life! I was ecstatic!!! It was such an awesome experience.

I really wanna go back again soon as I can!!! Wish I could go right now but sadly back to work tommorrow!!! I have uploaded the photos but havent captioned any of them yet cause ive been up since 3am brisbane time and I am getting quite tired. So i will update soon.

NZ Famil

Well it seems it is time again to go away for work. Bit longer this time (almost a week). I am off to NZ for a famil with work.

Should be a good famil, fly out in about 4 hours to Auckland. Staying overnight out near the airport tonight and then tommorrow the 400km trek to Rotorua. Then to taupo, Tongariro and back home. Getting to do both the Riverjet and the Hukajet in the same day and it should be good.

I am driving which should be a touch different so thats all ok. I hope to god that there is going to be some GPS or maps cause i have no idea where im going!!

Anyway i will update more as i go if i can otherwise when i get back 😀

So well a lot of stuff has changed in my life since my last update. I have been majorly slack and yeah lazy. So lets look at the Good Stuff that has been happening.

I got a promotion at work. I am now a Future Team Leader, something I have been looking forward to for ages and hoping to god that It will all work out, and it has. I found out last Wednesday with this morning being my first day. I also managed to score a Famil to NZ (leaving next tuesday). It should be good and I will keep the usual travel diary up to date. Dunno how my net access will go while I am in NZ so I will probably write a lot of it and transcribe. So life has been treating me pretty well…

But as with anything in my life, once something good happens, my bad luck takes over and makes me feel like shit. So firstly, another Team I am in dissolves on me, that makes team #4. I am pretty much used to it now so it doesn’t hit me as hard as it hit the others. But then after all of this I chip my tooth AGAIN! Thats the 4th time for the same tooth! Its really god damn annoying. Back to the dentist for me! Wish i could just get it plated with metal or something. Perhaps some Gold bling right at the front!

Really sick of it actually. I will now be paranoid about it for weeks to come. Its crap… really crap. Anyway its my first day today as FTL so I should make a good impression. Will talk to you guys later 😀

So today was a big day for Plane Spotters. I am feeling the pain of my hobby, my face and neck are sunburnt and to make it worse, unevenly as well which is crap. But otherwise it was a fantastic morning.

The Qantas A380 had its first visit to Brisbane this morning and it was so good to finally see it and get photos. After all the hype it finally arrived. The loop road was packed this morning. I was pretty pissed when Nova started putting it out on the radio on my way out there and I was heading out at like 9am and only just got a car park space. It was pretty busy! Was several hundred people there by the time it arrived.

I managed to take quite a number of photos and also get myself onto Channel 10 news for a few seconds (thankfully they didnt use my interview). Took 327 photos this morning and all of them have gone up online!

What a good day to have a day off!!

Qantas A380 Arrival

Oktoberfest was on yesterday. Such an awesome invention. Lots of filling food, Lots of German beer, good company, some music, lots of chatting, and a warm spring day. Where can you go wrong. Lets just look at the list again. Music, Chatting, Food, Warmth all good so far. Beer… o no. Thats where it always goes wrong.

German Beer is awesome. But its so lethal. After pint #7 i was really fucked. I wanted more but my stomach, bladder, liver and brain were all against me. They wouldnt let me drink more… bastards. Ended up after starting around 1:30pm pretty hammered and full to the brim. So came home pretty plastered. Daniel was worse off than I was he had 10 pints and he was feeling it!

It was a good day and although I am now copping shit from other friends for not heading to a birthday party last night cause i was to chicken (and passed out at 930pm) to continue partying. Oktoberfest is good though. Mal approves.

In other news over the last few weeks just been working extremely hard trying to get every last $$$ i can get to make sure I get my goal this month. Have had the house to myself for 3 weeks now, coming up on the last week and a half. The loneliness gets to you a bit in such a big house so its nice to have friends come round for dinner. Suz, Brendan and Ross came round friday night and we played a poker game. My poker skills must really be rusty because I lost to all 3 of them and I was the only one who has played before. It has been good.
